William Doray joined the military straight out of high school and served 15 years in the military with his last duty station being in Alaska. When he was discharged, he returned to Maine and attended the University of Maine Farmington, graduating in 2018 with a Bachelor’s in History graduating Magna Cum Laude and minoring in Political Science and International & Global Studies. He then Attended the University of Maine graduating in 2019 with a Master of Arts in Teaching.
During his time in college, he taught Social Studies as a sub. In 2019, he served as an Educational Technician III at Mt Blue Middle School. He also spend a year as a Law Enforcement Officer. For the last 5 years, he has taught the ACTS drug program at the Franklin County Correctional Facility. Will is still employed by the Chesterville Fire and Rescue, a volunteer Fire department in Franklin County. Will is currently employed as the 11th & 12th grade Social Studies teacher.
Solomon has been teaching at the MeANS since 2016, and has served in a variety of roles at the school. He graduated from the honors college at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst in 2012 and earned his Master’s degree in Education there in 2013. Before teaching at MeANS, Solomon served in and then supervised an AmeriCorps program in Somerset and Franklin counties, and was a farm apprentice at 3 Level Farm in South China, Maine. When he is not teaching English, working with students on the One-Acre Farm, or fixing computers, he works alongside his neighbors at 3 Level and Dig Deep Farms, skis, writes and plays music, and otherwise lives the good life with his partner Danielle, child Clara, and dog Homer.
